No more custom work for GD Star Rating 1.x
Since the upcoming GD Star Rating 2.0 is now in the full development mode, and since new plugin will not be compatible with old one, I am not going to do any more custom work or help on any projects that are based on the (now) old plugin version. Here is more info on why.
First third party integrated theme
Today I was contacted by Kerrie Bracey from NetProfiteers with information about theme Conduit Christams that features full integration with GD Star Rating. This is the first third-party theme with such integration, and here is more info about it.
Benchmark #2: Blog
This second part will analyze GD Star Rating impact on blog pages. This post will focus on number of queries that GD Star Rating adds to a page. There are many factors that must be taken into account, but I will cover most interesting cases of use.
GD Star Rating 1.5.2
Another minor revision after 1.5.1 is here. And again, I am proven to be bad in testing my own code, since I missed few errors. Also, there were many problems with importing data from other rating plugins, and that is also fixed in this release.
How to reorder posts
Now that finally GD Star Rating from 1.5.0 supports reordering posts on any page using ratings and reviews data, from both standard and multis ratings, it’s time to explain for less experienced users how to do it. And as it turns out, it’s very simple.
GD Star Rating 1.5.0
Today is exactly a year since I started working on the code for the first alpha version of this plugin. And here we are, year later with another major release. This version includes several new features, along with changes and few bugs fixed.
Benchmark #1: Admin
GD Star Rating is one of the biggest plugin currently available for WordPress. And some users were concerned about impact of this plugin to website performance. So, I decided to benchmark GD Star Rating in last 3 major versions of WordPress.

GD Star Rating 1.5.1
And now for something completely different. New version of GD Star Rating. I have finally completed very difficult task on optimizing the plugin and number of SQL queries executed. I wanted to include this in 1.5.0, but I needed few more days.
