After previous last minor maintenance release, here is GD Star Rating 1.9.8 and it’s again probably last minor maintenance release fixing few issues reported. And, sorry, no news on GD Star Rating 2.0, I simply don’t have any free time to work on it, but really hope to find some time soon.
GD Star Rating 1.9.7 is probably last minor maintenance release fixing few issues reported, adding Persian translation and changing the compression method used for main plugin JavaScript rating file to use YUI Compressor, making some templates changes and fixing some minor bugs and issues.
GD Star Rating 1.9.6 is another minor maintenance release fixing few issues reported in the last couple of weeks. There were few validation issues, that are now fixed. Major problem was regression in JavaScript code that was causing multi ratings to be sent incomplete.
Another minor, mostly maintenance release. Tool for bulk change of vote roles is improved to better reflect current rules usability. Several minor (or not so minor) bugs are fixed and new pre-render filter added to control some of the data displayed by the plugin.
I am working on GDSR 2.0, and many things will be changed there. But, one of those improvements is now part of this 1.8.x branch. Main javascript file for ratings is now completely rewritten and is no longer loaded as dynamic. Few more changes are part of this release.
I hate when the bug is found only hours after release, and I hate the fact that I missed the obvious problem. But, things like that happen occasionally, and I have already fixed the problem, and the new GD Star Rating 1.7.7 is released.
After two weeks from previous release, here is brand new 1.7.6. I finally managed to make changes to charting code, and replaced (very, very) slow pChart PHP charts with jQuery powered Flot charts. This and more is part of this latest release.
Few more bugs were reported in the last couple of days, and I find some myself, so I decided to release another version before 1.5.0. Also, I did a major cleanup of the HTML and JavaScript code used on admin pages. And added few more things.
