GD Star Rating 1.9 is just released with one purpose only: to improve and complete support for Google Rich Snippets. Up until now plugin supported only microdata format for snippets, but now this is updated with support for RDF and microdata. And more.
New GD Star Rating, version 1.8.9 has just been released. This version fixes several bugs and also improves on some of the existing features. Also, readme.tx file is updated with more FAQ and info about use of gdsr-config.php file for additional low level settings.
New GD Star Rating, version 1.8.6 has just been released. This is minor update only that fixes the problem with jQuery 1.4 that is part of the WordPress 3.0, and more strict parsing of the JSON that is returned after voting. Also, minor thumbs loader problem is fixed.
Last week I was very busy with other projects, so for this new release of GD Star Rating, you will get any fixed bugs. There were several bugs reported, and all now fixed. Few issues are still in works, so after I confirm the problems, they will be also fixed.
This is very important release for both new features and for several bugs fixed. I have fixed all reported issues since the previous release along with few bugs I noticed mostly with admin panels rarely used. And yeah, famous exceprt problem is now solved.
Back in may, Google announced the new feature for the search engine, called Rich Snippets. Using microformat or RDF you can add pieces of code that will Google find and use with search results. So, I decided to add support for rich snippets for both reviews and ratings.
Here is the GD Star Rating 1.7.3, another maintenance release that includes several bugs fixed including broken query expansions for using ratings to sort posts. Also, plugin is further optimized and uses another 10% less memory then 1.7.2.
Unfortunately, 1.7.1 was released with several bugs, and two of them were major caused by some changes I added just before releasing the plugin. So, I spend most of the day testing and fixing bugs, and here is the new version with many fixes.
