This second part will analyze GD Star Rating impact on blog pages. This post will focus on number of queries that GD Star Rating adds to a page. There are many factors that must be taken into account, but I will cover most interesting cases of use.
Benchmark #1: Admin
GD Star Rating is one of the biggest plugin currently available for WordPress. And some users were concerned about impact of this plugin to website performance. So, I decided to benchmark GD Star Rating in last 3 major versions of WordPress.
T2 Templates Map
The number of templates needed for rendering has grown, and at this point all the needed templates are completed. So, I have decided to display interconnection of all the templates and they use. So, this post contains a map of all T2 templates.

In the last few weeks I was getting some questions about reviews and ratings, and I realized that some people don’t understand the difference. So, in this post I will try to explain the difference between the two.
T2 Templates Types
Plugins T2 templates system support many different types of templates used for all kinds of rendering. Each template can use other templates, and can have several elements. Elements use HTML/CSS and number of special tags.
Multilanguage Support
Plugin supports mutliple languages that will be used with WordPress translated versions. Plugin will detect WordPress language version and will load translation for that lanugage if exists. If not, standard english will be used.

No comments reordering
To summarize the post, there will be no comments reordering using ratings in GD Star Rating. For now. Problem is not that I don’t want to make it, but that it cannot be done at the moment the way I would like it to be done. Here’s why.
