Interview for MyWordPress.com
Few weeks ago, Lars Koudal from MyWordPress.com, contacted me about doing an interview with me on GD Star Rating, my other plugins and WordPress in general. So, we both finally found time to do that, and today Lars published the interview.
Plans for 1.8.0 milestone
Now that GD Press Tools 1.7.0 is released, I have started with new development cycle. So, I have compiled a list of things I plan to work for the next 1.8.0 milestone. But that is still at least month and several minor revisions away.
Next plugin milestone
At this moment I can confirm that GD Star Rating 1.7.0 will be released on Sunday, October 11 2009. There are many changes in this release, bug fixes, code refactoring, several new things including more filters to control plugin rendering.
Are support rules so hard to follow?
Way back in april, plugin was used on some 4.000 blogs, but now that number is close to 20.000. And that caused the increase of users that are misusing my free time and FREE support, and they still fail to follow few simple support rules.
Website redesign in progress
As I have announced few weeks ago, the website will soon change it’s look. That will happen over next two days and in that period website will be offline or broken for a short periods of time. So, please be patient while I make all the changes.

There are many new things coming very soon related to GD Star Rating and my other WordPress related work. This includes TVScape.NET website to go live on sunday evening, new major plugins releases and this website fully redesigned.
Thumbs Up/Down Intro
As promised, I have began work on new type of ratings, called recommendations or thumbs up/down or like it/not like it. There are many names for it, but they all point to the same thing. But to make this even better I will need help from you.
The Road Ahead
With GD Star Rating 1.5.0 week away, this post will outline the features this plugin will get in the future. Most of the things I wanted do do is already done, but still there are many things that you can expect. List of features is split into two parts.
