As previously announced, this release of GD Star Rating will be the ending of the current 1.x branch. Development of GD Star Rating 2.0.0 is well underway, and until it is completed, there will be some bug fixing releases in the current stable branch.
This is stability mainly release, with some functions changes and several minor fixes and changes. Plugin is tested on WordPress 2.7, 2.8, 2.9 and it works fine on all 3 versions. There were some vague reports that plugin is causing problem in WP 2.9, but they are completely untrue. I use plugin on all my blogs, on several test blogs working under WP 2.9 and no problems on any of them. But, I have noticed many other plugins causing problems with this WP, and that may be the source of problems for some users. I repeat again, if you suspect a problem with GD Star Rating: give me more details, don’t just say it’s not working. Such report is pretty useless to me. If you encounter a bug, there is an error behind it, get that error and send it to me. It’s in the server PHP error log, depending on the server.
Over the next 2 months or so, I plan to release 2-3 bug fixing and stability releases. But, the development focus is on GD Star Rating 2.0 that is planned for end of April 2010. Progress on that will follow.

This a great mod. Can;’t wait for half stars to be added. My review site is in desperate need of this. Also, anyway for you to make it an option to show how many votes are shown on the widget? That would be great.

What is displayed in widget is controlled by the template widget uses, and it can display great many things including votes.

Hi Millan. Plugin works fine as it always has on my setup. One thing I noticed today is that in Chrome browser I cant give any ratings. Might be a bug? It is the first time i notice this.
When sb wants to rate on a post in Chrome, and clicks on a star to rate, then the “please wait” and Ajax loading bar appears normally. After a while it stops loading but the rating is not registered. It doesn’t hang or anything. The bar loads and then stops loading as if it is finished but the vote will not be counted.
if I do the same thing in Firefox all works fine.

Well, I had no problems will Chrome. But, there are so many different versions of Chrome out there (2, 3, 4, different dev and beta version), and it might be broken in some of theme. Google has went to far with so confusing development of this browser.

Uh, another thing: How can I make so that the rating is show when you hover the mouse in the stars? I mean, when you are in the process of rating, if you hover the mouse in two stars, it show in a ballon like “2/5″, but I want it to show after the rating is done, in the results

It can’t. GDSR 2.0 will allow to change your vote, and this version will have some sort of own vote display.
