After a month in development, TVScape is now finally complete and officially live. More details on what is currently on the website you can read in official announcement. More on the technical side of the website you can read in this post.
GD Star Rating plugin is used for review ratings (multis with 5 elements), thumbs rating for all posts, standard comments ratings and integrated post ratings into comments for reviews only. Rating top lists are also fully done using rating plugin and several different T2 templates, some custom tags and filter hooks. During the next week I will try to write some posts on the subject of using some of these advanced features.
All widgets you see on TVScape are actually done using my GD Simple Widgets plugin. Right now TVScape uses unreleased beta 1.4.0 version of this plugin that features 8 different widgets. GD Press Tools is used also, for easier creation of posts using post duplication features.
And the most important plugin for the process of creating posts is currently unreleased GD Taxonomies Tools. This plugin is used to manage all custom taxonomies used on the websites (actors, creators and others). This plugins adds cloud widgets for all taxonomies. And most important use is to turn words in the text while writing into taxonomy links. Plugin adds new button to the editor that opens a dialog used to find terms and rewrite them into a links in the text. This plugin will soon be released. But, public, Lite version will not contain all features. Some of them will be available only in Pro version.
So, visit the TVScape, browse around and leave the comments with suggestions, or register and add your own reviews through comments.
