And, another new version, this time, mainly a bug fixing release. Several reported bugs are fixed and I have managed to expand few more custom functions with new parameters. Next week you can expect all review features completed in 1.4.0 release.
Few bugs were releated to WordPress 2.8. Some of the WordPress core functions are changed (or fixed if you want) in this new WP, and that caused few minor problems. Also, there was the problem with deleting multi rating sets and some minor problems with rendering, all now fixed.
Few more integration functions are expanded with customized stars settings.

Hi there,
I’m getting this error with the plugin (this version):
Fatal error: Call to a member function get_url() on a non-object in standard_render.php on line 51 (I edited out my absolute path). Any ideas?
Also, is there a way to have customized text for each # of stars. Like 1 star would output “Do not waste your money” 2 stars could say “Up to you if you want to buy” and so on?
Thanks for the great plugin!

I am not sure about the error, most likely problem is with the star set you have selected (maybe is missing).
As for the other thing, this can’t be done at this point.

Hmm thanks. When I went to change the star set, it goes to a page that says this and only this:
Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.
With nowhere to click “Yes, I want to do this” or similar?

Never seen something like that. I am not sure what the problem is. The question you get is WordPress security question, but I don’t know what could trigger that.

Oh I’ve confirmed that the images DO exist, by the way. Still haven’t figured out why I can’t save ANY setting changes.

Sorry for the double post but I’m still getting the error from the first post. I’ve solved the 2nd problem, not being able to save changes. It was a diff. plugin causing that problem.
Is there anything I should be checking as to the first error?

*sigh* And again. Okay so where the post review section is on the write screen – there’s two dropdowns to choose the review/rating you are giving. The first dropdown only contains a slash (/) and a zero – not the number 1-5. I think THAT is what is causing the error?

I don’t know why that happens, but my guess is because the settings are not saved properly. This goess even with default settings, because if they have been saved than rating dropdown will go from 1 to 5. Since the settings are saved through WordPress and has nothing to do with plugin itslef, then I still believe that it has something with WordPress and some security problem.
I assure you that plugin works with every WordPress from 2.5.0 to 2.8.0. I can’t help you unless I can recreate the conditions of the problem.

Just wanted to update and say I fixed the problem by resetting the settings to the default. Back to normal now! Thanks for the tips – it helped me figure out what to do!

Hi, great updates!. I’m only having two problems. One is that some posts that have already been voted display all gray stars, but I can read below that the real rating is maybe 3.3/5 and not 0/5.
The other problem is something that I asked for some time ago and you had implemented it, but not in this version. It was about the post ratings widget, having the possibility to sort posts with the same vote by leaving on top the ones with more votes.
i.e: 5/5(10 votes), then 5/5(3 votes) and then 4/5(2 votes)
thank you very much. Really appreciate all your effort.

Widget sorting is already implemented and sorts both ratings and number of posts.
As for the stars problem, it could be problem with css of your theme.

Hey there,
Was wondering if it’s now possible to display top rated posts inside a page?

That was possible even with the old pre 1.0.0 versions released 7 or 8 months ago. You can insert shortcode with similar settings as the ones for the widget. Shortcode is inserted through the editor button.

Maybe you are using stars that are not there anymore. Check all the settings, and save them to be sure.
