GD Star Rating plugin allows you to set up rating system for posts, pages and comments in your blog. You can set many options for displaying the rating stars, and also add widgets into the sidebars for displaying top ratings and other statistics generated by the plugin. Plugin includes advanced settings panels that will allow you to control many aspects of rating.
You can check full list of features on this website, read the tutorials and download additional stars and trend sets to use. Site is very new right now and many of the content is still missing, but I will add as much as I can when I have free time.

I was wondering if you can include the pentagram package in your future releases since every time I upgrade, the petagram stars get wiped out and I have to upload it again to the stars folder.
I have the zip file with both petagrams (normal and red) with me (im the author). email me (promo @ archaikus . com) and I will send you the zip.

There is no need for that. Plugin load stars from two locations. One is outside of the plugin folder, so it will not be overwriten by upgrade. All extra stars need to go to that extra location.
In ‘wp-content’ folder create folder ‘gd-star-rating’. And in this one create ‘stars’ and ‘trends’. In stars folder add folder with your image set. So it should look like this:
wp-content-- plugins
-- themes
-- gd-star-rating
---- trends
---- stars
------- pentagram

Sorry, I can’t help you with that. I can’t control autoupdate, and it’s known to have some bugs and it’s not working always. Download it yourself and install it manually. You can try to report the issue on the official wordpress forum.

I had problems with some plugin auto update few months back. The problem solved it self in time, or they fixed the problem with the update servers.

Activated plugin but there is an error in wp-db.php on line 963 but i don’y know where’s this line e wich is the error.
In the page with votating system activated (and in others pages and panels) appear a lot errors:
Warning: array_reverse() [function.array-reverse]: The argument should be an array in /membri/cesenasty/blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 963
I’m using the last wordpress version.

This is the first time I see this message. I can’t reproduce the problem because I don’t know what is causing it. WP-DB is a global instance and all plugins use it. Maybe some other plugin set something that can cause problems.
This only happens in admin panel?

Just a first message to thank you. I’ve looked for weeks a plugin like the one you’re coding for free.
I mean there’s several on the web which are quite expensive. My website is free & i mean to keep it free, so i can’t afford to buy my plugins.

Thanx. I plan many more features. And I must say that I am really disapointed with these expensive rating plugins that are not easy to use and are also very limited. And that is one of the reasons that GD Star Rating will remain free.

One question, when i insert the rate system in a post, beside the stars it comes with a text like: “Rating: 4.0/5 (1 vote cast)”
Where can i modify this text?
I’ve tried to edit the “gd-star-rating.php” (it was the only one that dw found with the word “cast”) but nothing happens..
Can u help me?

Don’t modify any files. Check out templates panel, there is all you need. Plugin is made so that all modifications are made through administration panels.
